OVER HAJAR BENJIDA
Hajar Benjida (1995) is een Marokkaans-Nederlandse fotograaf, geboren en getogen in Nederland. Hajar behaalde haar BA in fotografie aan de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Utrecht in september 2019.

OVER DE SERIE
‘Atlanta Made Us Famous’ is een doorlopende fotoserie die de aandacht vestigt op de vrouwen die een belangrijke rol spelen in de Atlanta hiphop scene. In de Amerikaanse hiphopcultuur zijn stripclubs zoals Magic City in Atlanta het lanceerplatform voor hit-records en superster carrières, en de dansers zijn een essentieel onderdeel van deze hiphop scène.

Hajar Benjida (1995) is a Moroccan-Dutch photographer born and based in The Netherlands. Hajar received her BA in photography from the Utrecht Art School (HKU), in September 2019.

ABOUT THE SERIES
‘Atlanta Made Us Famous’ is an ongoing photo series that highlights the women who play an important role in the Atlanta hip-hop scene. In American hip-hop culture, strip clubs like Magic City in Atlanta are the launch pad for hit records and superstar careers, and the dancers are an essential part of the scene.
