Monique Witkamp (1995) volgde de opleiding Fotostyling Mode en studeert momenteel fotografie aan de Nederlandse Academie voor Beeldcreatie.  

OVER DE SERIE
Deze portretten zijn een reflectie van Witkamps afkomst. Haar Afrikaanse cultuur – met name die van de jaren 70, 80 en 90 – vormt een grote inspiratiebron voor Witkamp. De sfeer van die tijd representeert haar identiteit. Zij laat het oude met het nieuwe samengaan en laat mode daar een rol in spelen.

ABOUT MONIQUE WITKAMP
Monique Witkamp (1995) was educated in Fashion Photo Styling and is currently studying photography at the Dutch Academy for Image Creation.

ABOUT THE SERIES
These portraits are a reflection of Witkamp’s origins. Her African culture – especially from the 70s, 80s and 90s – is a great source of inspiration for Witkamp. The atmosphere of these eras represents her identity. She merges the old with the new and includes fashion along the way.
