Shortlist Portrait Prize 2020

Each year, the Rabo Photographic Portrait Prize is awarded to the photographer who took the best photographic portrait of the past year. The prize is awarded by Dutch National Portrait Gallery in collaboration with Rabobank and the Pictoright Fund.

From approximately 500 submissions, 32 portraits were selected for the longlist, from which five strong portraits were chosen for the shortlist. The photographers who took these five portraits really made us look at people – they bring the people portrayed close to us.

Finalists Sanne Donders, Julia Gunther, Frank Ruiter, Sander Troelstra and Els Zweerink.
